Marcus hosted the opening event of the 2025 Lowdham Book Festival. He interviewed author Ben Robinson about his fascinating book 'The Trillion Dollar Conman.' Marcus is pictured with Ben and festival founder Jane Streeter.

This was the first of Marcus' popular 'Green Jumper' events to be held in a library. Organisers from the library service in Nottinghamshire were delighted with the turn-out for this entertaining presentation in Arnold.

Marcus was the guest speaker for the opening 'author event' hosted by the new Nottinghamshire bookshop One More Chapter in Radcliffe on Trent. Marcus is pictured with shop owner Charlotte King.

Marcus was invited to speak at a special event held at the Boot Room, next to Nottingham Forest's City Ground. The organisers, the Nottingham Hillsborough Survivors Alliance, said:
"What a great evening. The Green Jumper presentation by Marcus was excellent. Really entertaining stories we hadn't heard before. Everyone had a very enjoyable evening."

An event to mark 20 years since Brian Clough passed away raised money for a homelessness charity. Marcus was joined on stage by fundraising host Neil Kendrick.
The event included an auction of memorabilia including a signed shirt donated by Nottingham Forest. Marcus had also recorded a special message from Brian's son, Simon.

The event, which raised over £1,000, was held in September 2024 at the Lutterell Hall and was sponsored by the community football club, West Bridgford Colts.

Derby Book Festival hosted an evening with Marcus, who was interviewed by his former BBC colleague Colin Gibson.
The multi-media event, held in the Sir John Hurt Cinema at Derby Quad, was followed by a signing session.

Newark Book Festival hosted a special event with Marcus in the Tudor Hall. This was the second time Marcus had appeared at the festival and there was another full-house to hear his stories.
Marcus began his journalistic career at the Newark Advertiser newspaper.

A charity event raised money for the Maggie's Cancer Centre in Nottingham. Marcus was joined by host Neil Kendrick for a popular Q&A held at Ramsdale Golf Centre in Nottingham.
The event included an auction of memorabilia and a signing session.
