Marcus' podcast Green Jumper has been shortlisted in the final of the UK Independent Podcast Awards 2025. It is one of just eight nominees in the sports category. 

Said Marcus: "This is amazing news, coming just a few months after Green Jumper was named one of the best football podcasts in the world in the Sports Podcast Awards.

"What's really special is that the Independent Podcast Awards recognise pods which don't have any corporate ties and don't have the big-money backing of large companies. They also shine a light on pods from solo creators such as the Green Jumper."

The entry period covered by this year's awards includes the 20th anniversary of Brian Clough's passing in addition to the pod's numerous live events raising money for good causes. 

"I must thank everyone who has supported the pod since it was launched in January 2021," added Marcus. "That includes the wonderful guests and the listeners who have downloaded the various episodes in their thousands."
